Renee Stevens Goin
SouthData, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Renee Stevens Goin as the company’s new IT Director.
Goin has more than 20 years of experience in technology management having worked at Wachovia, Lowe’s Companies and Wake Forest University in pivotal development and managerial roles.
At SouthData, Goin will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of web development and system management, along with the company’s infrastructure.
“We are delighted to have Mrs. Goin join our staff,” said SouthData President John Springthorpe, III. “She has an extensive and impressive background in technology management that will lend itself well to her role here.”
While Goin was at Wachovia, she served as Senior Technology Program Consultant, managing the multiple merger projects for mortgage and retail credit lending.
In another role at Wachovia, Goin managed a team of 72 technical managers and individual contributors providing infrastructure support for the consumer banking industry. She also served as Wachovia’s Manager of End User Technologies, eCommerce Project Manager and Corporate Project Manager.
While at Lowe’s Companies, Goin served as the Application Project Manager, managing a team of application developers and analysts. Goin was the Assistant Director of Software Solutions Development at Wake Forest University where she managed at team of 13 technical leads and programmer analysts.
Goin earned a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University in 1987. She lives in Westfield, N.C., with her husband James. They have three children, Cassidy, 21, Cortney 20, and Damon, 17. Goin is a member at Snow Hill United Methodist Church and is active with the North Stokes High School Athletic Boosters.
