Accounting Clerk

Job Description
Purpose

The purpose of the Accounting Clerk position is to work with other members of the Accounting Department to provide accurate and timely reporting of all financial information.

Required  

Associate Degree in Accounting at minimum or 1 to 3 years’ relevant experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  
  • Receive Customer invoices and ensure proper approvals from managers
  • Apply General Ledger codes for input into the Financial Accounting System
  • Prepare weekly Accounts Payable checks for distribution along with reconciling with proper backup
  • Reconciles general ledger accounts with various registers
  • Provide assistance to vendors with questions
  • Reconcile Travel Expense Reports from entries from Concur according to Company Policies
  • Daily reconciliation of Accounts Receivables to Sub ledger accounts
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Chief Financial Analyst
Information Security Job Duties
  • This employee is required to complete SouthData’s Information Security Awareness Training annually to ensure understanding of corporate Information Security policies and procedures, as well as current security threats.  The employer is required to formally document completion of the training by signing a user acknowledgement form.

  • This employee is responsible for helping to protect corporate information by abiding by network and system privileges, control structures, and resources established by management.  The employee is expected to maintain awareness to identify suspicious or malicious system or user behavior.  The employee will report such activity to the Information Security Officer.

Physical Requirements

The position of Account Specialist is considered light work. This is defined as exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Other physical abilities required for this position are reaching, walking, fingering, talking, hearing and close visual acuity.

Environmental Conditions

This person will work in all types of environments ranging from temperature controlled office environments with low to moderate noise levels, to uncontrolled production environments that may have high noise levels.

Personal Protective Equipment

No requirements except in cases where there are visits to client facilities that may require personal protective equipment such as ear plugs, goggles, etc.


 

Accounts Specialist

Job Description
Purpose

The purpose of the Account Specialist is to work with other members of the Account Management team to provide clients with the highest quality of services and products. Responsibilities of this role include communicating the needs of the client to other team members, monitoring status of orders as they flow through the system, converting data, inspecting proofs and communicating with clients. Learning details of client software programs and a substantial knowledge of products and services sold by the company is required.

Required 

High School diploma or equivalent, 1 to 3 years’ relevant experience

Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Respond to client inquires via telephone and website
  • Answer questions from clients regarding company products and services
  • Educate clients on use of company website
  • Respond to client questions regarding order status and data formatting
  • Use available systems to process client orders
  • Communicate client requirements to Account Management team
  • Manipulate data files in accordance with instructions in work orders and defined techniques
  • Provide clients with orientation/training on products and services
  • Provide assistance to clients with billing questions
  • Flexibility in an ever-changing environment
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Account Manager and the Director of Client Relations

Senior Technical Support Specialist

Job Description
Purpose

The purpose of the Senior Technical Support Specialist is to provide: technical assistance to internal and external users of computer systems and programs; maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies and maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

Required 

Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree four years of related experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  
  • Working ability with Windows Server 2008 R2, SBS, 2012 R2, 2016

  • Maintain Active Directory environment – DHCP, GPO, DNS & Certificate Mgmt.

  • Proficient in use SQL and Exchange Servers; Hyper-V; WSUS

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Remote support skills are advisable for this position in order to assist customers over the phone

  • Achieves computer system objectives by gathering pertinent data; identifying and evaluating options; recommending a course of action

  • Need to be able to understand and articulate the needs a customer has in order to upsell products that would prevent issues from re-occurring

  • Ability to speak confidently to customers making technical jargon easy to understand

  • Knowledge and ability with firewalls, network switches, and other network infrastructure

  • Install updates to internal and external client’s software as required to maintain compliance

  • Resolving problems, identifying trends, determining system improvements, implementing change

Information Security Job Duties

The position of Senior Technical Support Specialist is considered medium work.  This is defined as exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.  Other physical abilities required for this position are standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and close visual acuity.

Environmental Conditions

This person will work indoors with controlled temperatures.
